Hello Baby, this is your Father speaking…

12 07 2007

Coral (your mother) and I sat on the couch and watched TV today. She burps a lot… like A LOT because you make her sick.

The other funny thing you do at your tiny 2 months, is make her cry during the show ‘American Inventor’. I thought it was funny that you made her cry during ‘Extreme Home Makeover’ but then I realized… shit, I cry during that show… So yeah, right now, you make Coral cry and burp.

The other fun game that you already play with Coral (and me, as this will come to bite me soon) is the online baby stuff shopping game. This is the game where Coral goes online and finds really cute (read: expensive) baby stuff for you. I suppose luckily, we don’t know if you are going to be a boy or a girl so she isn’t ready to commit my credit card just yet… I have till 4 and half months to pay it down and get ready for the carnage.

So all and all… we know you like popcicles and Kool-Aid but you dislike heat and any food that would be normally delicious for your future mother to eat. You’ll owe her big when you are born.

In conclusion… I feel fine, as I am not growing you in my belly.   :)

Ooooh Baby.

You must be working hard at growing big in there.
I am currently gaining weight like a killer whale, which is ever-so glorious, but I fear, near an end as I am also beginning to battle morning sickness for the first time in the nearly two months than you have been there.  My daily routine now consists of hours upon hours of munching soda crackers and praying I don’t have to make a dash to the Ladies room.
Poor Jeremy keeps making lovely dinners for me night after night, and I am unable to eat more than a few fork-fulls.
I pray that this passes quickly, as I am one to thoroughly enjoy my food.

Mmm.

First pictures

5 07 2007

We went for our first ultrasound today.  There was so much build up to that appointment today, and now its gone.
You are seven weeks old.
On Monday, I am going to meet my new doctor, Dr. Grant. She was Megan’s doctor for both pregnancies, and thus makes me a little more at ease.
You are seven weeks old.
They showed us pictures from several angles. The bum, the head, the top, the bottom. And then she said “hold very very still” and in a moment the room was filled to every corner and crack with your heart beat. The thumping was so fast in my ears, so beautiful.

You are seven weeks old.  Amazing.
